BFO take DCAA by storm.

Molly wants to send congratulations to all her BFO friends on a great weekend of AKC agility. While Molly and Jack could only watch, many of our Best Friends made us all proud with some great runs. Some headlines from this weekend would be:
MaryAnn and Beth study the course, Charles does a great job running friend, Diane's, Aussie Dixie, Bocca moves to 24", The Weims were "on" and looked great. Camille and Gus shared a conversation while taking a break at the table. There are lots of stories and I wish that I had the time to share them all. Molly hopes that you enjoy the photos.

MACH Dundee

Congratulations to our good friend Billie and her wonderful Aussie, Dundee. It was very exciting to see this great team finish their journey to a MACH. We are very glad that Billie worked her handling magic and got this done with a great run. The ribbons from the Miami Valley Doberman Club were very pretty. Enjoy the photos.
Molly is very sorry that she couldn't be there.

Class

AT the end of a long hot, hard summer we have finally gotten some reasonable summer temperatures. Last night we took Jack, Molly and my 6 year old great niece to the final class of Jack's Level 3 agility class. As is our tradition, VW was there to take lots of great photos of all the class members. Jack had some really good runs and took on the teeter with confidence. I told Jaden that he needed to work on the teeter and she just about wore him out working with him. A good time was had by all.

Molly says that I have been slack about reporting to her blog about our agility adventures. Let's see: last weekend we went to Zanesville for the Parkersburg Dog Obedience Club AKC Agility Trial and Molly and Jack both competed. Since she is 9 yrs. old she was entered in Preferred Novice Jumpers and Preferred Open Standard. On Friday she got a first in Standard and a second in Jumpers. Both were very good runs. Our proudest moment was Jack's Novice Jumpers run. He got his first AKC Q with a first place. Standard was a problem for him because he took two steps onto the Teeter, realized what it was and hopped off and NQ'd. Both Molly and Jack had a great time at this trial. Next weekend (May 8 and 9) we will go to Dayton for the CPE trial. This one will be outside and we certainly hope that Jack will want to do the Teeter. I will attach several photos that show just how much our dogs love agility.

Spring and Mud

Last night Molly came in with her nose covered with mud. Not a little mud - a lot of mud. I have no idea where she is sticking her nose. I really must keep a closer eye on her while she is outside. Today she did it again. She was only out for a few minutes. This time we took some photos. Just look at those innocent eyes. Back to the shower we went. Last night she had a full bath and brushing. Today we just worked on the nose and the feet. While I am glad that all of the snow has melted - it has left us swimming in mud. Where is the sun?????

Caricatures

Our good friend Camille Weber is starting a business where she uses her amazing artistic talent to create wonderful caricatures of our dogs. Her business name is: woofsbyweber and her email is cweber54@insightbb.com. She is working on a website and I will post the link to that when it is up and going. I will add a caricature of our beautiful Molly and also attach the photo she used to create the art work. Check out the other great works she has done.

CPE Queen City

Last Saturday I traveled to Cincinnati to do one day of CPE agility. I traveled with my good friend Teri and her JRT, Daisy. We left Lexington at 5:30 a.m. It was a long day but we did have fun. Molly wants you to know that she is diligently working toward a C-atch. She started the day with a very nice Fullhouse run. It was her last level 4 Fullhouse. She got 30 points and a 3rd place. Only a second over the 5 secs to the table. Then she had two almost Level 5 standard runs. The first run she had a perfect run going until she bailed the A-frame; we only had one more obstacle to finish the course. The second Standard run was nice except I was late on a command and she took and wrong course tunnel. Molly finished the day with a nice Colors runs with a 3rd place and a Q. That finished her Level 4 colors title. So it is on to Level 5 in everything.
Jack started the day with an NQ in Fullhouse. He ran a little tentative and took the dogwalk when I hoped he would take the tunnel under the dogwalk. The tunnel would have set us up nicely for the table and the dogwalk took us the wrong way. He then took too long to get to the table. He got 2 Q's in his standard runs. The first one was a little slow but he stayed with it and did not visit bar setters . He only needed one Standard leg to finish his Level 1 Standard so we are on to Level 2. His Colors run was his best yet. He had a great time and finished his Level 2 Colors.
Tei and Daisy had some nice runs. Daisy did not hesitate at the teeter or the tire and that was very good for her. She ran with enthusiasm and confidence.
